Smart Locks Overview

Smart locks let guests enter rooms using temporary PIN codes instead of physical keys.

Where to find it​

Settings → Room Access → Smart Lock (PIN)

Guest & Staff Impact​

  • Guests: Receive a PIN and can go straight to their room without waiting for a physical key.
  • Staff: Less key handling at the front desk and fewer lost key issues.

How it works​

  • A unique PIN is generated for each guest stay.
  • PINs work only for the assigned room and stay dates.
  • PINs expire automatically at checkout time.

Tips​

  • Test locks in the vendor app before connecting Streamliner.
  • Keep a backup access method for emergencies.
