Document Number Warnings During Check-In
These warnings never block check-in. They only ask you to confirm the document number.
This guide helps you handle document number warnings and see which countries are supported.

Where you see this warning
You see the warning inside the Guest Information modal, under Document Number.

Find the guest’s room card

In Guest Verification, select Guest Information → Fill (This button appears after the document is uploaded.)
✓ The Guest Information modal opens for that guest.
When a warning is present, you see a message under the Document Number field:
"Document number doesn't seem to be correct. Please check it carefully."
Why you might see a warning
AVA checks the document number format (length and pattern) for supported countries and document types. If a passport has a machine-readable zone (MRZ), AVA can also verify MRZ check digits.
Warnings are advisory only. Check-in can still continue.
What to do when you see a warning

Compare the document number on the physical ID with what is entered.

If you spot a typo, update the Document Number field.
✓ The warning should clear after you save.

If the number matches the ID, continue check-in.
✓ The guest can still complete check-in.
Follow your local policy for manual review or front desk handoff.

You can still enter and accept the document number. AVA just will not show a format warning.
