Initial Setup

Quick Setup

Plan for 30-45 minutes. The guided checklist includes a 90-second demo, five settings steps, and four post-setup checks.

Use this guide to complete your first Streamliner setup and go live confidently.


Before You Start

Confirm you have:

  • Admin login credentials
  • Hotel basics (name, country, timezone)
  • PMS credentials (if you use a PMS)
  • Room list with room numbers and types

Step 1: Sign in

  1. Open your Streamliner URL.

  2. Enter your Username and Password.

  3. Select Sign In.

    ✓ You should land on the main dashboard.


Step 2: Watch the onboarding demo

  1. When the demo appears, select Continue to watch it.

  2. If needed, select Skip to exit onboarding.

    ✓ After the demo, the onboarding checklist opens on Settings → Essentials.

Skipping onboarding

Selecting Skip ends the guided checklist. If you see Onboarding in the sidebar, you can restart it.


Step 3: Complete the settings steps

Use the onboarding card in the bottom-right corner. After each step, select Mark as done.

Hotel basics

  1. Go to Settings → Essentials.

  2. Enter Hotel Name, Country, and Timezone.

  3. Select Save.

    ✓ The step shows as complete.

PMS integration

  1. In Settings → Essentials, find PMS Integration.

  2. Select your PMS and enter the credentials.

  3. Select Connect and wait for the sync.

    ✓ You should see a connected status.

PMS sync time

PMS sync can take a few minutes. Keep the page open.

Room access

  1. Go to Settings → Room Access.

  2. Choose Smart Locks or Keycards.

  3. Enter the required credentials and mapping details.

  4. Select Save.

    ✓ Room access settings are saved.

Registration fields

  1. Go to Settings → Check-In.

  2. Choose which guest details are required.

  3. Select Save.

    ✓ The registration fields step is complete.

Registration card disclaimer

  1. In Settings → Check-In, find Registration Card Disclaimer.

  2. Update the disclaimer text and signature rules.

  3. Select Save.

    ✓ The disclaimer step is complete.


Step 4: Complete the post-setup checks

Reservations overview

  1. Go to Reservations.

  2. Review arrivals, stay-overs, and departures.

    ✓ You can see today's expected guests.

Check-in landing

  1. Go to Settings → Check-In.

  2. Find Check-in Landing Page.

  3. Select Show QR or Open link.

  4. Scan the QR code to test the flow.

    ✓ The check-in page opens on your phone.

Billing

  1. Go to Settings → Billing.

  2. Add a payment method.

  3. Select Save.

    ✓ Your billing status updates to active.

Help assistant

  1. Select the chat bubble in the bottom-right corner.

  2. Ask a setup question if needed.

    ✓ You can keep your onboarding progress while chatting.


Step 5: Verify before go-live

Confirm these final checks:

  • Test reservation appears from your PMS
  • Test check-in completes without errors
  • Room access works for the test reservation

Troubleshooting

I do not see the onboarding checklist

What you see: No onboarding card after login.

Fix:

  1. Confirm you are using the admin account created during onboarding.
  2. If you see Onboarding in the sidebar, select it to restart.
  3. Ask your admin to enable onboarding if the option is missing.

What you see: "Complete the current step to unlock navigation."

Fix:

  1. Finish the current step and select Mark as done.
  2. Or select Skip Onboarding in the toast to exit.
