Igloohome Smart Lock Integration

Connect AVA to Igloohome smart locks for automatic PIN code generation. Once linked, guests receive unique PIN codes upon check-in.

Where to Find It

Settings → Room Access → Smart Lock Vendor → Igloohome

Guest & Staff Impact

  • Guests: Receive a unique PIN at check-in and can enter their room without visiting the desk.
  • Staff: Less key handling and fewer lock-out requests because codes expire automatically.

Prerequisites

  1. Igloohome locks installed on all guest rooms
  2. Igloohome account with admin access
  3. Locks configured in the Igloohome app

Configuration Steps

Step 1: Select Smart Lock Method

  1. Go to Settings → Room Access
  2. Select Smart Lock (PIN) as the Room Key Issuance Method
  3. Click Save

Step 2: Choose Igloohome Vendor

  1. In the Smart Lock Vendor dropdown, select Igloohome
  2. PIN settings will appear below

Step 3: Configure PIN Settings

  • PIN Code Expiration Time: Set when PINs expire on checkout day (default: 11:00 AM)
  • Random Custom PIN Length: Select 4-6 digits
    • ⚠️ Igloohome limits custom PINs to 6 digits max
    • Locks without a Bridge generate 9-digit master PINs
  1. Scroll to Igloohome Integration section
  2. Click Link Igloohome Account
  3. You'll be redirected to Igloohome's OAuth page
  4. Log in with your Igloohome credentials
  5. Authorize AVA to access your locks
  6. You'll be redirected back to AVA

Step 5: Verify Connection

After linking, you'll see:

  • ✅ Green checkmark = Account linked successfully
  • Status indicator shows "Linked"

How It Works

  1. Guest checks in → AVA generates a unique PIN
  2. PIN sent to guest → Via email or shown on screen
  3. Guest uses PIN → Unlocks room door
  4. Guest checks out → PIN automatically expires

Troubleshooting

"Account Not Linked" Warning

  1. Click Link Igloohome Account
  2. Complete the OAuth authorization
  3. Ensure pop-ups aren't blocked

PINs Not Working

  1. Verify locks are online in Igloohome app
  2. Check lock batteries are charged
  3. Ensure correct room-to-lock mapping
  4. Confirm PIN hasn't expired

To disconnect Igloohome:

  1. Go to Settings → Room Access
  2. Find the Igloohome Integration section
  3. Click Unlink Account

Security Best Practices

  • 🔒 Use 6-digit PINs for maximum security
  • 🔒 Set expiration time to match checkout time
  • 🔒 Regularly review connected devices in Igloohome app
  • 🔒 Keep Bridge firmware updated
