Supported Languages
Control which languages guests can choose when using self-service check-in. When you enable a language, all guest-facing screens, messages, and instructions become available in that language.

How to Enable Languagesโ
Step 1: Open Language Settingsโ
- Go to Settings โ Essentials
- Scroll to Supported Languages
Step 2: Select Languagesโ
- โ Checked = Language is available to guests
- โฌ Unchecked = Language is hidden
Click the checkbox next to each language you want to offer.
Step 3: Save Changesโ
Click Save and wait for the confirmation message.
What Happens When You Enable a Languageโ
- Language appears in the guest check-in language selector
- All screens translate automatically
- Error messages display in the selected language
- Emails send in the guest's chosen language
- Documents generate in the appropriate language
Guest & Staff Impactโ
- Guests see: The language selector shows only the languages you enable. Guests can switch languages at any time during check-in.
- Staff see: All guest-facing messages (WiFi, welcome messages, disclaimers) are expected to be available in the enabled languages. If a translation is missing, the experience falls back to English.
How Guests Select Their Languageโ
Guests can choose their language:

Consider enabling languages based on:
- Your typical guest demographics
- Staff language abilities
- Regional requirements
Start with 2-3 languages and add more based on guest usage patterns.
Staff Considerationsโ
Before enabling a language, ensure:
- At least one staff member can assist in that language
- You can handle support requests
- Important notices are available in that language

- Confirm you clicked Save
- Refresh the check-in page
- Clear the browser cache
- Test on a different device

- Note which screen and text is affected

Can't disable Englishโ
English is required and cannot be disabled. All guests need at least one common language option.
Frequently Asked Questionsโ
Can I add custom languages? Not currently. Contact support to request new languages.
Do staff screens translate too? No, the staff interface remains in English.
What if a guest speaks an unlisted language? They must use one of your enabled languages.
Can I customize the translations? Not directly. Report translation issues to support.
