How Self Check-In Works

This page explains self check-in on the kiosk or on your own phone, written for the guest. Some steps only appear when the property uses them.

How do I start self check-in?

Start self check-in in one of three ways:

  1. Scan the QR code displayed at the property with your phone camera.
  2. Open the check-in link the property sent you.
  3. Use the check-in kiosk in the lobby.

On the welcome screen, tap Check In. If you do not see a Check In button, self check-in is not offered right now. Go to the front desk.

How do I find my reservation?

The fastest way is to scan your passport or ID card. Your booking is found from the document.

If the scan does not find it, tap Use Confirmation Number Instead and type your confirmation number. You can use the property's confirmation number or the reference from the booking website. Some properties accept only the last few characters of the number. The screen tells you when that is allowed.

If your booking still cannot be found, check that your arrival date is today, then go to the front desk.

What steps do I complete during self check-in?

Each guest in the room completes these steps. The property decides which steps apply:

  1. Upload your passport or ID. Scan the original document. Some properties also let you upload a clear photo.
  2. Fill in your details. Fields marked with * are required.
  3. Sign. Read the registration card and terms, tick the agreement box, sign, and tap Save Signature. Usually only the main guest signs.
  4. Take a selfie. Some properties compare your face with your document photo. You see a consent notice first.
  5. Pay a deposit or your room. Only when the property collects payment at check-in.

To add another person in the same room, tap Check In Another Guest and have them scan their passport or ID.

How do I pay during self check-in?

When payment is required, the screen shows the amount under Reservation Requirements. Depending on the property, you can:

  • Pay on the kiosk screen with a card.
  • Scan a QR code and pay on your phone.
  • Tap your card on the payment terminal.
  • Choose Cash / Pay at Front Desk and pay at the front desk.

Self check-in cannot finish until every payment shown on screen succeeds. If a payment is still processing, wait. Do not pay a second time.

What happens after I tap Proceed to Check-In?

When every step shows as complete, tap Proceed to Check-In. We then check availability, assign your room, prepare your room access, and finalise your check-in. Preparing room access can take up to one minute. Keep the screen open until it finishes.

You then see your room number and how to get into your room: a keycard, a door PIN, a QR key, or a locker code. Some properties also show the Wi-Fi details and an Email room information button so you have a copy.

Can I check in online before I arrive?

Some properties send a pre-arrival link so you can complete the steps before you arrive. The steps are the same, and you finish by tapping Complete Pre-Arrival. You receive your room access when you arrive at the property.

Can I check in early?

You can check in from the property's standard check-in time. Some properties offer paid early check-in on the kiosk. If it is offered, the screen shows Check in now with the fee. If you arrive early and no option appears, wait until check-in time or ask the front desk.

The kiosk asks "Are You Still There?"

The kiosk shows this message after a period with no activity. Tap the screen to continue. If the kiosk returns to the welcome screen, start again from Check In.
