Review Property Activity in the Feed
Open Property Feed to review reservation, check-in, access, and housekeeping activity. This takes about 2 minutes.
The feed gives you one timeline for recent activity across your property. Use it during shift handovers, incident reviews, and room-status checks.
Go to: Main Menu → Property Feed
Quick Reference
| Control | What it does | Useful for |
|---|---|---|

| Room | Filters events by room number | Checking one room's history |

Your role needs Reservation Read or Housekeeping Read permission. Ask an administrator to update your role if Property Feed is unavailable.
On mobile, scroll the page to move from the summary cards to older events. The Auto-refresh every 30s control appears as a horizontal pill.

Understand Feed Events
| Category | Examples |
|---|---|
| Reservation | Reservation created, dates changed, guest updated, payment captured, or note added |
| Stay | Room assigned, room changed, checked in, checked out, or room released |
| Housekeeping | Room clean, dirty, inspected, out of service, back in service, or Do Not Disturb changed |
| Check-in | Check-in started, document captured, identity verified, payment completed, or check-in failed |
| Access | Room access issued, keycard encoded, SmartLock PIN generated, or locker code updated |
Each event can show the event time, room, reservation, guest, channel, and actor. Channels include AVA Web, Kiosk, Mobile, Pre-arrival, PMS webhook, and System.
For new staff actions, the actor can show the staff member's profile name. AVA never uses the staff member's email address as the displayed name. Older events can keep generic Staff wording because AVA does not backfill history. If the profile cannot be read, AVA records the event without a name.
Read keycard issuance details
The feed describes keycard events by what happened during the keycard step.
| Feed label | What it means |
|---|---|
| Keycard Encoded (Card N of M) | A card was encoded in the current keycard set. |
| Additional Keycard Encoded | An additional guest card was encoded. |
| Keycard Encoding Failed (Card N of M) | A card encoding attempt failed. |
| Marked as Already Encoded | The keycard step closed after staff confirmed cards already existed. |
| Remaining Keycards Skipped | Staff ended the step before encoding every planned card. |
| Keycard Step Completed | The step completed with another successful outcome. |
| Keycard Step Failed | The keycard step ended without successful completion. |
When the kiosk closed the keycard step without encoding a card, AVA shows a No card encoded warning. Review the reservation's detailed event log before handing over room access.
Successful keycard events identify the issuance context when it is available.
| Detail | What it means |
|---|---|
| Initial | The first keycard issue for the guest or stay |
| Replacement | A replacement issued after a lost-keycard request |
| Guest self-service | The guest completed the issuance flow |
| Staff | A staff member encoded the card manually or from a reservation |
Check the actor and channel when you need to confirm who started the action. Older events without the newer event details may keep generic wording.
The Property Feed uses Room access issued for supported keycard access events. Review the reservation details when you need to confirm the exact keycard outcome.
Successful keycard activity can still appear in Property Feed if reservation activity history has a temporary write failure.
Recognize completed checkouts
A completed CCI checkout appears as checked out under Stay activity. AVA does not mark a completed checkout as a failure.
If checkout cannot complete, AVA keeps the event labeled checkout failed. Use that event to investigate the checkout before retrying it.
AVA keeps property feed events for 90 days. Older events are removed automatically.
Housekeeping Events from Your PMS
Housekeeping changes made in AVA appear in the feed after the PMS accepts them. Changes made directly in your PMS appear when AVA reads the current room states. Opening Housekeeping triggers this read and updates the feed when changes are found. AVA does not continuously poll PMS housekeeping data in the background.
