Review the Housekeeping Dashboard
Most teams scan Condition, Room Status, and Do Not Disturb first. This takes about 2 minutes.
This guide helps you review room readiness and update housekeeping status from Housekeeping.
| Column | What it shows | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Room | Room number or name | Use search to jump to a room |
| Type | Room type from the PMS | Group similar rooms together |
| Condition | Clean, Dirty, or Inspected | Update after cleaning |
| Room Status | Occupied or Vacant | Prioritize Vacant rooms first |
| Do Not Disturb | Do Not Disturb on/off | Avoid rooms with Do Not Disturb active |
Open the dashboard

Go to Housekeeping.
✓ You see the room list with columns for Condition, Room Status, and Do Not Disturb.

Use the Search bar to find a room by number, room type, or guest name.

Click a column header to sort the list.
✓ The arrow beside the column shows the sort direction.
Update a room condition

Find the room in the list.

Open the Condition dropdown.

Select Clean, Dirty, or Inspected.
✓ The condition updates and you see a success message.
If Settings → Check-In has Prompt housekeeping to confirm same-day checkout enabled, AVA shows a prompt. It appears when you mark a room Clean or Inspected on its checkout date.
Update Do Not Disturb

In the Do Not Disturb column, toggle the switch.

Confirm the action.
✓ The Do Not Disturb status updates and a success message appears.
Troubleshooting
Housekeeping status unavailable banner
What you see: A yellow banner that says housekeeping status is unavailable.
Fix:
- Refresh the page.
- Ask an admin to verify Settings → Essentials → PMS Integration.
When this banner appears, AVA shows basic room details only.
Error loading housekeeping data
What you see: An error message with a Retry button.
Fix:
- Click Retry.
- If the error repeats, refresh the page.
