Set Up ACI Guest Notice

Quick Setup

This usually takes 5-10 minutes. Turn it on, add translations, then test one ACI check-in.

Use this page when you want a guest notice between Check In and Staff Access.

When guests see it

The notice appears after the guest selects Check In. It shows before the assisted check-in reservation search starts.

Before You Start

Confirm these basics:

  • Your property uses ACI check-in
  • ID scan is enabled in check-in settings
  • You know the guest message you want to show
  • The languages you need are enabled

Set Up the ACI Guest Notice

  1. Go to Settings → Customizations → Guest Messaging → ACI Guest Notice.

  2. Turn on Show notice before Staff Access.

  3. Enter a Notice Title for each enabled language.

  4. Enter the Notice Message for each enabled language.

  5. Enter the Continue Button Label for each enabled language.

  6. Click Save ACI Guest Notice.

    ✓ You should see a saved confirmation after the save finishes.

  7. Test one guest check-in in ACI mode.

    ✓ The guest should see the notice before the reservation search page.

Writing Good Notice Copy

  • Keep the title short.
  • Keep the message direct.
  • Explain why you are showing the notice.
  • Use the button label for a simple action like Continue.

What You See → Fix

The notice does not appear

What you see: Staff go straight to reservation search.

Fix:

  1. Confirm Show notice before Staff Access is on.
  2. Confirm the flow is using ACI, not self-service check-in.
  3. Confirm ID scan is enabled.
  4. Save again, then test the flow from the start.

One language is missing

What you see: Guests see one language, but another tab is blank.

Fix:

  1. Open each enabled language tab.
  2. Fill in the missing title, message, or button label.
  3. Save the card again.

Changes do not save

What you see: The old notice returns after refresh.

Fix:

  1. Check for validation errors in the form.
  2. Confirm you have settings:write permission.
  3. Click Save ACI Guest Notice again.
  4. Reload the page and test again.

The text still looks old

What you see: The notice shows previous copy after saving.

Fix:

  1. Save the page again.
  2. Open a fresh ACI check-in session.
  3. Clear any browser cache if the old text still appears.
