Room Not Ready Messages

Quick Setup

Customize what guests see when their room is not ready. Messages support all enabled languages.

Room Not Ready Messages appear when a guest arrives before check-in time or when the room is still being prepared.

Where to Find It

Settings → Customizations → Room Not Ready Messages

Configure the Messages

Step 1: Set Check-In Time (for Early Arrivals)

  1. Go to Check-In Policy
  2. Set Allowed Check-In Time
  3. Click Save

Step 2: Enter Message Text

  1. Go to Settings → Customizations → Room Not Ready Messages
  2. Select a language tab
  3. Enter your message
  4. Repeat for each enabled language
  5. Click Save

Step 3: Review Language Status

  1. Edit text in one language tab
  2. Look for the amber dot on other language tabs
  3. Check the banner that says languages may be out of date
  4. Update each tab manually or use auto-translate
  5. Save when all tabs are current

✓ Amber dot means "May need re-translation" ✓ Green check means the tab has content and no stale warning

Message Tips

  • Keep messages under 200 characters for mobile screens
  • Include a clear next step (where to wait, who to contact)
  • Match your property's tone (luxury, resort, budget)

Troubleshooting

Early arrival message field is missing

What you see: Only the after-check-in message appears

Fix:

Wrong language is showing

What you see: Guests see English instead of their selected language

Fix:

  1. Verify the language is enabled in Settings → Essentials → Supported Languages
  2. Add the translation in each tab
  3. Save and refresh

Changes not saving

What you see: Old messages return after saving

Fix:

  • Check for validation errors (red text)
  • Ensure all required language tabs are filled
  • Save again and refresh

Amber dots stay visible after editing

What you see: Some language tabs show an amber dot and "out of date" warning.

Fix:

  1. Open each language tab with an amber dot
  2. Update the text manually or run auto-translate
  3. Save changes again
  4. Confirm the amber dots are cleared
