Create a Live Chat Link for Guests

Quick Setup

Create a landing page link and QR code in about 2 minutes.

This guide helps you generate a guest-facing link for your chat widget. Guests use this link to chat with the AI chatbot or a live agent, depending on your Chat mode.

You must create a link to activate the landing page, then share it with guests (most hotels use a QR code).

Go to: Chatbot → Widget → Setup

Plan Access​

  • Chatbot setup requires a paid plan.
  • Free-tier accounts see an upgrade screen instead of Chatbot Setup.

To upgrade, go to Settings → Billing.

  1. Go to Chatbot → Widget → Setup.

  2. Open the Widget & Access tab.

  3. In Widget Landing Page, click Create Landing Page.

    ✓ A new row appears with a Landing Page URL.

  4. Click the Landing Page URL to open it.

    ✓ The chat widget opens in a new tab.

Show or Download the QR Code​

  1. In the landing page row, click View QR.
  2. Use the preview to confirm the QR points to the landing page.
  3. Click Download check-in QR to save the QR code.

Chat Mode Affects What Guests See​

The landing page follows your current Chat mode setting:

  • AI only: Guests chat only with the AI.
  • Live chat only: Guests chat only with staff.
  • Hybrid (AI + live chat): AI handles most chats, staff can take over.

To change it, go to Chatbot Setup → Widget & Access → Chat mode.

Tips​

  • Use the landing page link for quick testing on a phone or desktop.
  • Print the QR code for guest-facing signage.

Troubleshooting​

"Create Landing Page" is missing​

What you see: The landing page section does not appear.

Fix:

  1. Confirm your plan includes Chatbot features.
  2. Ask an admin to verify Chatbot setup permissions.

QR code will not load​

What you see: An error in the QR preview.

Fix:

  1. Close the QR modal and try View QR again.
  2. If it still fails, refresh the page.
