Social Sign-In Not Completing

Quick Setup

Most fixes take under 2 minutes. You can try them on the login screen.

This guide helps you finish social sign-in when the login page does not move forward.

Step-by-step fix

  1. Go to the Login screen.

  2. Select your social sign-in button.

  3. Complete the provider steps in the popup or new tab.

    ✓ You should return to the login screen and continue to your next page.

  4. If the login screen stays open, return to Login and try once more.

  5. If you are linking from Profile, start from Profile → Social sign-in.

Troubleshooting

Login page shows code= and state= in the address bar

What you see: The login screen shows a long URL with code= and state=.

Fix:

  1. Open the Login screen again.
  2. Start the social sign-in flow from the login screen.

Social sign-in returns you to the wrong page

What you see: You start from Profile, but you land on Login.

Fix:

  1. Go to Profile → Social sign-in.
  2. Start the social sign-in flow again.
  3. Complete the provider steps.

What you see: The provider popup closes and nothing happens.

Fix:

  1. Allow popups for AVA.
  2. Start the social sign-in flow again.
