Control ID Scan for Self Check-In
Keep ID Scan on for stronger identity checks. Turn it off only if your workflow needs full confirmation lookup first.
This guide helps you control whether guests must scan an ID before reservation lookup in Self Check-In.

Click Save General Settings.
✓ Guests must enter the full confirmation number to start Self Check-In.
When ID Scan is off, Quick Lookup with Last 4 Digits is forced off and Facial Verification stays unavailable.
What Changes After You Save
- ID Scan on:
- Guests start with document scan.
- You can use Quick Lookup with Last 4 Digits.
- You can enable Facial Verification.
- ID Scan off:
- Guests start with full confirmation number lookup.
- Quick Lookup with Last 4 Digits is disabled.
- Facial Verification controls are read-only.
Troubleshooting
Last-4 lookup toggle is disabled
What you see: You cannot edit Quick Lookup with Last 4 Digits.
Fix:
- Turn ID Scan on.
- Click Save General Settings.
- Reopen the section and edit Quick Lookup with Last 4 Digits.
Facial verification controls are read-only
What you see: Facial verification mode and thresholds are disabled.
Fix:
- Turn ID Scan on.
- Click Save General Settings.
- Go to Facial Verification and enable it again if needed.
Guests still start with full confirmation number
What you see: Self Check-In starts with full confirmation lookup.
Fix:
- Confirm ID Scan is on.
- Click Save General Settings.
- Start a new Self Check-In session and test again.
