Enable Guest Languages
Turn on only the languages you can support. This takes about 2 minutes.
This guide helps you control which languages guests can select during check-in.

AVA currently supports:

Step-by-Step: Enable Languages
1. Open Language Settings
- Go to Settings → Essentials
- Scroll to Supported Languages
2. Select Languages
- ✅ Checked = Language is available to guests
- ⬜ Unchecked = Language is hidden
Click the checkbox next to each language you want to offer.
✓ You should see a checkmark next to every enabled language.
3. Save Changes
Click Save Languages and wait for the confirmation message.
✓ You should see "Settings saved successfully".
What Happens After You Enable a Language
- Language appears in the guest check-in selector
- Screens translate automatically
- Error messages show in the selected language
- Emails send in the guest's chosen language
- Documents generate in that language
How Guests Choose Their Language

Best Practices
Choose the Right Mix
Enable languages based on:
- Your guest demographics
- Staff language coverage
- Local compliance needs
Start with 2-3 languages. Add more after you see guest demand.
Staff Readiness
Before enabling a language, confirm:
- At least one staff member can assist in that language
- You can support guest questions
- Important notices are translated

Troubleshooting
Language not showing for guests
What you see: The language is checked but does not appear for guests.
Fix:
- Click Save Languages
- Refresh the check-in page
- Clear your browser cache
- Test on a different device
Changes not saving
What you see: You click Save Languages but nothing changes.
Fix:
- Refresh the page
- Re-select the languages
- Click Save Languages again
Some text not translated
What you see: One screen shows English while another language is selected.
Fix:
- Note the screen and exact text
- Take a screenshot
- Send details to support
Can't disable English
What you see: English stays enabled.
Fix: English is required and cannot be disabled.
