Test WhatsApp Templates in Sandbox

Quick Test

Most tests take under 2 minutes once templates are approved.

This guide helps you send a test WhatsApp template message to a phone number.

Go to: Settings → Communications → WhatsApp → Sandbox

Before You Start

Confirm these requirements:

  • WhatsApp is connected in Settings → Communications → WhatsApp → Setup
  • At least one approved WhatsApp template exists

Send a Test Message

  1. Go to Settings → Communications → WhatsApp → Sandbox.

  2. Enter a Phone Number with country code.

  3. Open Select Template and choose a template.

  4. Fill in Template Variables if they appear.

  5. Click Send Message.

    ✓ You see "Message sent successfully!"

Preview the Message

  1. Select a template.

  2. Review the Preview panel.

    ✓ The preview shows your message text.

Troubleshooting

WhatsApp Business Account Required

What you see: "WhatsApp Business Account Required."

Fix:

  1. Go to Settings → Communications → WhatsApp → Setup.
  2. Connect your WhatsApp Business account.
  3. Return to the sandbox and try again.

Please enter a valid phone number

What you see: "Please enter a valid phone number."

Fix:

  1. Include a country code, like +1.
  2. Try again.

Please select a valid template

What you see: "Please select a valid template."

Fix:

  1. Open Select Template.
  2. Choose a template from the list.

Please fill in all template variables

What you see: "Please fill in all template variables: ..."

Fix:

  1. Fill every Template Variables field.
  2. Click Send Message again.

Failed to send message

What you see: "Failed to send message."

Fix:

  1. Confirm the phone number is correct.
  2. Try another approved template.
