Reset a Check-In Flow

Quick Setup

This takes about 2 minutes. Use it only when you need to restart check-in from the beginning.

Use this guide when a reservation needs to start over after a failed or abandoned check-in.

Go to: Main Menu → Command Center

Before You Start

  • You need access to Command Center.
  • The reservation must show Reset Check-in Flow.
  • If the stay has multiple rooms, open the correct room tab first.
  • Remove the guest from your PMS before you check them in again.
Before You Reset

Streamliner does not remove the PMS guest automatically. If your PMS still shows the guest, clear that record there first.

Reset the Flow

  1. Open Command Center.

  2. Select View Details on the reservation.

  3. If the reservation has multiple rooms, choose the room tab you want to reset.

  4. Select Reset Check-in Flow in the reservation summary header.

  5. Review the warning modal.

    ✓ It shows High-impact action. ✓ It lists what gets cleared. ✓ It warns that the action cannot be undone.

  6. Select Reset Check-in.

    ✓ The reservation details refresh after the reset. ✓ The parent logs list refreshes too.

What Gets Cleared

  • Uploaded documents and extracted guest information
  • Stored registration card thumbnail flag, so old previews do not remain after reset
  • Registration card signatures and facial verification progress
  • Stored check-in completion state for the full reservation family
  • Late-added guests created only inside the check-in flow

After You Reset

  • The detailed event log shows a reset entry.
  • You may also see counts for affected check-in records.
  • You may also see counts for released document uploads.
  • Use the event timestamp as the start of the restart.

Troubleshooting

Reset Check-in Flow is missing

What you see: You do not see Reset Check-in Flow in Reservation Details.

Fix:

  1. Open the reservation from View Details.
  2. Select the correct room tab if the stay has multiple rooms.
  3. Refresh the page and open the panel again.
  4. Contact support if the button still does not appear.

Details still show the old state

What you see: The panel still shows the previous check-in progress after reset.

Fix:

  1. Close Reservation Details.
  2. Reopen View Details on the same reservation.
  3. Check the Detailed Event Log for the reset entry.
  4. Refresh Command Center if needed.

Registration card thumbnail is stale

What you see: The old registration card thumbnail still appears after reset.

Fix:

  1. Reopen View Details on the same reservation.
  2. Check the Detailed Event Log for the reset entry.
  3. Refresh the page if the thumbnail still looks stale.

The guest still exists in PMS

What you see: The guest is still listed in your PMS after the reset.

Fix:

  1. Remove the guest from PMS manually.
  2. Restart check-in after the PMS record is cleared.
  3. Reopen View Details to confirm the reset event is present.
