How to View a Guest Bill

Quick Setup

Use View Guest Bill in Check-In/Out Logs → Status. Most bills open in under 30 seconds.

This guide helps you open a guest bill so you can confirm charges during check-out.

Go to: Main Menu → Check-In/Out Logs

View Guest Bill appears only for hotels connected to Opera PMS.


Step-by-Step: Open a Guest Bill

  1. Open Check-In/Out Logs.

  2. Stay on the Status tab.

  3. Find the reservation you need.

  4. Select View Guest Bill.

    • On desktop, use the action button on the reservation row.
    • On phones, use the action row under the reservation card.

    ✓ The Guest Bill panel opens.


What You See in the Guest Bill

  • Reservation: Confirmation number and reservation ID
  • Guest: Name and contact details
  • Stay: Arrival date, departure date, room, and status
  • Totals: Grand total for the stay
  • Bill Items: Charges table with code, description, time (hotel timezone), quantity, and amount

ℹ️ If there are no charges yet, you will see "No bill items found."


Troubleshooting

View Guest Bill button is missing

What you see: View Guest Bill does not appear on the reservation.

Fix:

  1. Confirm your property uses Opera PMS.
  2. Stay on the Status tab and refresh the page.
  3. Contact support if Opera is connected and the button is still missing.

Guest bill does not open

What you see: The panel stays blank or closes.

Fix:

  1. Refresh the page.
  2. Open the same reservation again.
  3. Try another reservation to confirm bills load.

Bill items are missing

What you see: "No bill items found."

Fix:

  1. Confirm charges are posted in your PMS.
  2. Wait 1-2 minutes and reopen the bill.
  3. Contact support if the bill stays empty.

Bill item times look incorrect

What you see: Bill item times look hours ahead or behind.

Fix:

  1. Go to Settings → Essentials → Hotel Basic Details.
  2. Confirm your Timezone matches your property.
  3. Refresh Check-In/Out Logs and reopen the bill.
